| Notes |
Boo, my notes disappeared. I'm torn trying to find the right one of these. I really want one with (solar), perpetual calendar, chronograph, alarm, second TZ, and tachymeter like the BL5XXX series offers, but I haven't found one that looks like I want it too - clean like the Seiko SPC123, Citizen BL8150, or BL55400. Unfortunately, the BL5400 gives up the tachymeter (which, if I want more with a chronograph than a slide-rule), and the BL8150 gives up the chronograph altogether (though it has nicer calendar display). The Seiko is great, but doesn't have solar, and I feel that takes away from the perpetual calendar. Oh, and I've seen on-wrist photos of the BL5568 where it seems it's almost impossible to read - the hands are too thin and don't contrast enough with the dark face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVMqTyiMNbE This Rotary Pilot Chronograph is a great example of a slide rule + tachymeter. |
